‘Always the Wallflower’ is out!

Can you believe it? Always the Wallflower is now out! This is the fifth book of my Never the Bride series, and I’m so thrilled that so many of you are loving it!

Make sure you grab this gorgeous Regency romance and let me know what you think!

Always the wallflower and never the bride – imprisoned by fear to watch life at the sidelines…

Lady Letitia Cavendish is a Cavendish, but only a cousin of the current Duke so even her name isn’t enough for potential suitors to court her. She’s a wallflower, terrified of putting herself forward, and so life continues on without her.
But at two and twenty, things are getting desperate.

The most confident rake in town, Edward Wynn, is a handsome devil – and being the Viscount of Stulsemere doesn’t hurt. When, despite his best efforts, he’s partnered with the most boring lady at Almack’s, he resigns himself to twenty minutes of silence.

And is astonished. Lady Letitia is nothing like what he expected, and after she storms off and leaves him standing, Edward has to know more.

He’s determined to understand her. She’s torn between remaining invisible and finally making a good match. Personalities collide and compromise seems out of reach as the unexpected happens.

What will society say as the biggest rake courts the wallflower of the season? Can Letitia ever take a step towards a happily ever after?

Lady Harriet Stanhope grew up with her twin brother and his friends, never questioning their laughter or their games – but now she’s a young lady, she’s desperate for one friend in particular to see her in a different light.

But after twenty years of knowing each other, she’s just the best friend, not a serious contender for the Duke of Devonshire’s heart.

Montague Cavendish knows what is due to him and his family name, and he is not fool enough to wish for a love match. He’ll find a pretty young thing with plenty of money, and that will be that.

Until Harriet – Harriet – breaks into his rooms to seduce him. He should resist her, he knows he should. But Montague had never imagined such perfection lay beneath the gown of his best friend.

He’s determined to resist. She’s sure that he will fall in love with her after one night of passion.

Mistakes will be made and confusion abound as friendship is put to the ultimate test.

Is it possible for two people raised as siblings to become lovers – and if it all goes wrong, what will be left of their friendship?

The reviews are in!

I’ll admit it: I was a little worried what my lovely readers would think of my latest book, Always the Courtesan. It’s very different from my other books, and I was concerned that people wouldn’t want to read about a young Regency lady who was abducted and forced to work in a brothel.

Well, the reviews are in: and you love it!

“Enjoyable and yes, a little different, but that is always a surprise. Another great additional to this series!” – Lori Dykes

“Emily takes this story in a totally different direction than the usual HEA…and brings them to a happy ending in a story worth reading.” – Betty H

“I loved this story. I’ve been waiting for Honora’s story, and I was not disappointed.” Beth Meador

“A very unusual historical romance that looks impossible to have a happy ending.” Petula Winmill

“Definitely a different romance than the norm, something you will definitely want to read! You will fall in love with Josiah and Honora.” S. Standefer

“This book has a story line from a completely different perspective than I have read before.” Calfborn

“Emily definitely did not write your standard romantic plot with this one. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in this series, but Emily outdid herself with this one.” C. Clar

Lady Honora Lennox hasn’t gone by that name in three years – not since she was abducted and forced to work in a brothel.
She’s but nineteen and has given up on the world offering her anything of kindness. Until he walks through her door.

Josiah Stanhope, Earl of Chester, is exhausted with politics and games, deceit and lies – it’s time for simplicity, and there’s nothing simpler than the clear cut exchange of coin for pleasure. And yet there’s something different about this girl. She knows how to please a man, certainly, but there’s more to her. Something refined.

He’s determined to find out the truth. She’s terrified of destroying her family name. Tensions mount as wills clash and there can only be one victor.

Can Josiah ever prove himself as trustworthy, or will he fall back to old habits? Can Honora ever return to society after her fall from grace – or is his bed far more inviting?

New year, new books!

Dear readers, I have some exciting news to tease you with: not one, not two, but SEVEN new books are coming out from me in 2020!

Whaaat?

Yup, I am as excited as you are. I have 6 books coming out in a brand new series (sorry, details cannot be announced yet but will be soon!), and a novella that links into another series coming out in a huge world publication in the summer.

And you know what?

I am ridiculously excited. My Ravishing Regencies series has received so much love from you all and that has made me even more confident that what I am doing is working: beautiful love stories in historical time periods, packed with true details and feisty heroines.

So what’s the best way you can find out when these books are out?

Follow me on Amazon or follow me on BookBub. That way, you’ll receive an email notification whenever I launch a new book, and you can grab it immediately and lose yourself in a whole new world!

Christmas is almost here!

Well, almost.

I am one of those (fantastic) people who absolutely loves Christmas. One summer a few years ago I was living in New Zealand, and I found myself listening to Christmas music all of August!

IMG_0719But I digress.

There are so many things to love about Christmas and just a few of them are starting to peek their heads around the corner. Frosty mornings. Advent calendars. Mince pies.

But even better than all of those (if possible) are the gorgeous Christmas boxsets that are released every year! It’s a chance to lose yourself completely in romantic entangles, misunderstandings, and reunions that the Christmas season brings us all.

Of course, I’m biased. I am thrilled this year to be part of a Christmas boxset that is not only storming up the charts, but far more importantly, our readers are loving! You can find me and twenty six other authors in that boxset, giving you literally days and days worth of reading.

But it’s also time to get the children’s Christmas books out and enjoy them. The Snowman, in particular, is one of my favourite stories. And isn’t that one of the reasons that we love Christmas in the first place? The opportunity to tell stories over and over, of those we love?

As we all start to prepare for Christmas, make sure you take some time for yourself and enjoy a Christmas story you love, whether it’s romantic or perfect for little ones. I know I will!
