The eloquent words flowed off the page and deeply immersed me in a romantic tale of a lonely nobleman rescuing a beautiful courtesan from being murdered after she was pushed into the river by a scoundrel. The pair spend a lot of time talking and connecting. The dialogue was superb. I quickly loved both characters. I absolutely adore this book, and I am definitely read the next one in the series.
