I absolutely loved attending and speaking at the Historical Novel Society (HNS) conference this year. For the first time in years, they have delivered a fully remote, virtual conference – which has been incredible, because as a British author, it’s a challenge to get to America!
But by making it virtual, I was able not only to attend but to speak! I attended a few sessions, gave a class on Friday on dukes in the Regency era, and spoke on a panel on Sunday about respecting romance in the historical genre.
I loved it.
Of course I love my amazing readers, but there are some incredible authors out there that I don’t know as well as I would like. Having the opportunity to speak and chat with historical romance authors was so incredibly rewarding. I wish I had done it sooner.
A huge thank you to the Historical Novel Society for hosting me as a speaker, and for all the wonderful attendees who made me feel so welcome!
