Well, it’s officially 2022! My first full year that I will be a full time author, and so I am taking some seriously time to think about what my goals are for this year.
Usually I think of resolutions, and every year until now, I have. I have resolved to do things differently, or better; but they have been hopes. I haven’t really done much to make them a reality, because that was all they were. Hopes.
This year however, I’m not going to create resolutions. I’m going to create goals: things that I am working towards, actively planning to achieve.
And that’s frightening!
It’s much easier to have hopes and dreams, because you never get measured against them. I had a dream to be an author as a job for pretty much my entire life, but it was only when I made it a goal and started making serious plans to get there that it happened.
So here we go: here are my three goals for 2022. I’ll revisit them at the end of the year, to see how I got on!
- From August onwards, have a book published every other month. It’s a big goal, but now I am a full time author, I should have the time.
- Plan and launch a super secret pen name! I have so many ideas and I am so excited to get them out there in the world.
- I will get my newsletter up to 10,000 readers who love my books. It means so much to me to know that people are out there reading and loving my books, and I want to collect them together!
So there are my goals: let’s see how I do!
