Anyone who knows me well knows how much I adore summer, and loathe winter.

Okay, maybe loathe is a strong word! But I love the warmth of summer, the long evenings, the excuses for gin and tonics. I love hanging out with people in the sunshine, sunbathing, and reading a good book in the shade as birdsong fills the trees.

But winter?

Ugh. Winter! It’s so cold, it plays havoc with my skin, and I cannot tell you how many times I have slipped over on the ice 😅

But at the same time, I can’t deny that winter gives me the excuse to write a huge amount more. I don’t want to go out, so I stay in!

My Dukes in Danger series has really brought me joy in these colder months, and I’m really hoping that they are keeping you warm. It will be spring and summer before we know it!
